Waiting on Ty...

Tyler Brant is the name we have chosen for our new little man. We wanted a family name and love the sound of it. We'll probably call him Ty. My Dad had a great interest in his family's genealogy and luckily made files for us that include great information and photographs. Joseph Tyler Golden, who went by "Tyler," was my Dad's great grandfather, (O. Lee's grandfather.) He was born January 27, 1851. Dad loved the part in his obituary that says, "Mr. Golden loved his home and seldom left it, except when business or other urgent necessity demanded or required of it and then only long enough to meet that necessity." He would repeat this to us thinking it was hilarious because he felt the same way and loved to be home! He even had a copy of the obit taped to his computer monitor. (I can just hear him, "Hee hee!")  He also had this actual portrait (below) that he remembers hanging at his father's home in Leonard, Texas, hanging in his own study.
The name Tyler is also the name of  one of Poppy's (O. Lee) brothers. He was the second born son of Grace and Oscar Golden. My Aunt SuEllen recalls, "He was such a wonderful man...just like Poppy. Very handsome and kind. All of Grace's boys were great men. They were somewhat afraid of their red headed Mom. Grace ran a tight ship...she really had to...the depression made their life rather hard. All  of Poppy's brothers were hard workers and loved the Lord. They had one baby sister named Velma. I adored my uncles and aunt.  They were strong, kind, hard working people who cherished their families! The four boys were Alwyn, Tyler, Oscar Lee, James. I know that Alwyn, Tyler, and Poppy were deacons in their churches and Velma married a Baptist minister."
I think Doc would like the name we've chosen.
AND of course, middle name Brant, after his wonderful, hard working, kind and strong Daddy!

Hard to see, but Ty's face at 38 week ultrasound (head turned, nosed smooshed)

Santa DID bring Monster Truck Mater

So thankful for new Christmas toys during these 2 weeks!

 Getting so brave and confident

Jeffrey got his own soup out of the fridge and a spoon from the drawer. I think he's gonna be just fine!

Reading in his new tent Aunt Shari and family gave him
Kristina and family sent a special gift for Ty and Jeff

New Year's Eve
a few firecrackers in the front yard
Brant got all the Christmas decorations put away. We had a great system and with both of us working on it, (me sitting down,) it only took 2 hours! Happy 2016!
 January 7, 39 1/2 weeks and READY!
 Park time after school!

***Notes for myself: January 7 Dr. appointment, (39 1/2 weeks,) 3 cm dilated, 90% effaced. Have had contractions for 2 1/2 weeks, since Dec. 22. Planned to induce Wednesday, January 13, unless baby comes earlier! Still having "lightning bolts" down my legs when standing. He is constantly moving. Very, very active boy which can be extremely uncomfortable on my insides! Trying to relax and enjoy this "down" time. Feeling anxious. Jeffrey is becoming more and more clingy to mama!
