Merry Christmas, 2014!

 

      We had a very special Christmas celebration at Gigi's house. We ate a LOT of incredible food that Gigi made, played, watched the dogs and kids play, stayed up late and continued our traditions! Jeffrey woke up asking for Bobo, Nainey and Gigi. Brant had to work Christmas Eve. I was cleaning and getting ready for the weekend at home, (I knew we'd be adding even more to the play room and needed to get organized!) He kept asking for Bobo, Nainey and Gigi, so I told him we'd go back over to Gigi's and play after he had his nap. He promptly asked for his milk, slurped it down, grabbed his buddies, (his menagerie of stuffed animals,) and went to bed! Unprecedented event! Like Uncle John said, "now that's determination!"

Candle light service at church. After a prayer, Jeffrey heard Ron say "Amen," and repeated it loudly a few seconds later just like he does at home every night! Funny.

The kids stayed in their pjs ALL day. It was such a pretty day and they got to play outside a lot.

We've had a few really good mini drum solo concerts at our house the past couple of days! Brant used to play in high school and I'm impressed!

 We went to see Gigi perform in our church Christmas play last weekend. John and Katie came and went to lunch with us. We explored the church grounds, (they have a little hiking trail,) and put a rock on the columbarium for Doc. Jeffrey enjoyed all the climbing and rocks!

 

 

We also had a fantastic Christmas celebration in Dilley with Brant's Dad's side of the family. It is great to walk into a house with a boy who wants to play with his cars and find a Hot Wheels track all set up with a multitude of cars ready to race and boys ready to play!
