It's SPRING!!!!

It's Spring! We've had beautiful, healthy days with lots of sunshine, family and friends. We've been to see the animals SO active at the zoo, (Jeffrey still talks about what the ostrich did, and the choo-choo ride.) We took Jeffrey to his first major league baseball game to see the Rangers vs. the Dodgers at the Alamodome. We've been to the park a LOT, which is a huge FAVORITE. We went to Bo-bo's first baseball game of the season and to our neighborhood Easter Egg hunt. This precious boy is not a chatter-box like Lainey was, but has SO many words that are SO clear. He says, "okay" to so much, even when I'm trying to figure out what he is saying and not really asking him, just clarifying. It is the cutest thing ever. Sweet, "okay!" He can count to ten...purely memorization. And I love his "oh, yeah" and "oh, yes!" and "oh sowy," (sorry.) He told me this week that I am the "best ever!" and said it over and over after he knew how happy it made me. Such a sweetheart.

Watching him watch the fish in the hippo tank is incredible. He doesn't care so much for the hippos, but thinks the fish are amazing! A whole new world.
Snakes are pretty cool too, but the kids on a Friday field trip are the best for watching and talking to!
Not sure about the train this time...until we got going!
First real baseball game!...in the nosebleed section, a last minute decision to go.

Very interested in the 6 year old boys behind us, one was named Jeffrey!
Reading the new Dinosaur book from his Aunt Shari and crew.
Lunch with Gigi
Park! This was right after he told me I was the best ever. Awww!
Park with buddy Grayson and Ashley, which he can clearly say their names now!
After park, having a snack, I looked down and saw this big boy! Had to send a pic to Daddy at work.
Gram took J to the Children's museum for his birthday outing-a grandchild tradition!

Scouting out the neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt.

Sitting with AJ at Bobo's baseball game. He entertained the older sisters of all the players and learned to say, "good hit!" He wanted to be in that dug out with the big boys so badly!

He would not let go of Bo!

 With Uncle Mok

 with Gigi after church

 swimmer!

Our Little Luck-o-Saurus!

St. Patrick's Day is a special day for Brant and me. It was our eighth anniversary. Jeffrey and I were so sick though, so we were a little late celebrating this year. We are so lucky to have Jeffrey and thank God for him every day.

Birthday Celebrations!!!!!

This lucky boy had three birthday celebrations with family this week! One at Gram and Grandpa's, one at Gigi's house and another with EVERYONE at our home! When I put him to bed the night before his birthday party, I said, "We're going to have a great day tomorrow," and he said, "A Happy Birthday!"

Playing with Ainsley at Lolly's house
Jonah rode back to Gram and Pa's house with us, adoring and touching Jonah's face much of the way

Kleenex box hat...we've gone through a lot of these lately

trying to learn how to hold up 2 fingers

 Playing in Gigi's backyard
Practice cake-we had a mom and kid spend the night during spring break and on J's actual birthday. Dads came for dinner.
Jeffrey puked twice, once during dinner and once right after cake!
Morning outside at Gigi's

 couch cuddles at Gigi's house
My gift to him for his birthday
helping me make the real cake!

Could not wait for these cars to get out of the box!

He grabbed a fork and took a bite before we were even finished singing!

We had a great time celebrating this sweet boy, but it's been a very difficult week for both of us. We're finally feeling better, a week later. I've been sick for about 5 days. He had a bad reaction to amoxicillin, with a horrible rash that actually turned into bruising. I won't post those pictures. It was very, very scary. The doctor ordered blood tests STAT, which was also extremely scary. Everything turned out to be ok and all is normal. God is good.
