Welcome Baby LEE!

Baby Lee Oscar Golden arrived the day before Thanksgiving, early morning, November 25. He is absolutely perfect and beautiful! They spent Thanksgiving in the hospital and went home on Friday. Jen, Gigi and I went to Austin for a quick visit yesterday. They are doing so well and Lee is SO precious! I told him I've got his playmate coming soon!

Happy Thanksgiving

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day relaxing at Gigi's house. Macy's Thanksgiving parade, football, puzzles, toys, books and incredible food! Baby Lee was born the day before, so we missed John and Katie. We are so thankful for everything God has given us.

Grandperson's Day

Lainey so graciously hosted Jeffrey, Gigi and me for Grandperson's day at their school. She and her classmates sang so beautifully. She gave us the grand tour including her classroom, the playgrounds and garden. She made granola in her class for us and we've all three enjoyed it so much! We were unable to see Bo's performance and classroom because it was during the afternoon, but we did stop my his classroom and he came out for a hug and a quick chat. Thank you, L & G!

Preschool!

Jeffrey began preschool this week! When we toured the "school," he joined right in with his future classmates, went to movement class with them and we checked out the playground with the assistant director. It is a Tuesday/Thursday class from 9-2 and they have a "curriculum" and set schedule. I was impressed with what they have going on there and it is just what we need at this time! Jeffrey told me he was so excited to go to school. He also asked if he could go to Bo and Lainey's school, but I told him you can't wear diapers there, so maybe when he's 3. Still, he randomly told me in the car that he was "excited about the other school." He went in on the first day with a smile on his face, happy to be there. I was happy too. I think we waited the perfect amount of time for us. He is 32 months old and by the way, I also have a 32-WEEK- old inside me this week!
His class walking to chapel shortly after I dropped him off. I had to wait and see them from the car!
It was a great day, complete with a real fire drill and great sights of fire trucks! (The fire alarm in the sanctuary went off because they used the heat for the first time this year. The director laughed when I picked him up, saying I jinxed them because I was asking all about their safety procedures! I've been there and know what can happen and it can be difficult with a group of kids!)
He ate well, played well, (wasn't interested in the art activity, but that's ok, they'll keep trying,) and he even slept for an hour! I thought it would take him a few months to feel comfortable enough to sleep. All the library books we checked out and practicing nap on the floor mat at home helped, I think! He is such a great kid.
